Hi Im a little puzzled as to why this is happening what it is when a certain user tries to logon it says that he is unable to logon and that the account is locked out, i checked event viewer on the server and found a Failure Audit which applied to that certain user here are the details,

 

 

Logon Failure:

Reason: Unknown user name or bad password

User Name: [userName]

Domain: [Domain]

Logon Type: 3

Logon Process: NtLmSsp

Authentication Package: NTLM

Workstation Name: [Workstation

Caller User Name: -

Caller Domain: -

Caller Logon ID: -

Caller Process ID: -

Transited Services: -

Source Network Address: [iP Address]

Source Port: 0

 

How do i fix this as its getting to the point where the user cant do any work it just locks him out while he is in the middle of something??

I will be greatful for any solution ideas.

Hi thanks for the reply i didn't delete the profile in the end, i found that outlook was prompting for the password of the user even though the option wasn't ticked for prompt allays for user name and password, so what i did was change the password for his account and A PRESTO seems to have fixed the problem, Very strange. Thanks Again
