sippo Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Am I being extremely thick here, but how do I disable access to a server via creating a shortcut? They need to be able to create shortcuts. For example a student can create a shortcut to \\server2, and see it although most access is restricted. How do I stop that?
cpjitservices Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 I'm not sure, could you not do this in GP, and possibly through a new user group with only certain rights, so you can give them access to user files and then change other folder permissions to administrator only ? I'm not sure how you do it though but it's just an idea. Let us know how you get on.
sippo Posted January 17, 2011 Author Posted January 17, 2011 Lack of responses due to everyone being at BETT?
