featured_spectre Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 I agree little-miss...I haven't been able to get out much to take my exams or go to proper courses (except for self study)...but I should be able to do an online course at work!
bodminman Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 I agree, this sounds right up my street! On a different note, I'm gutted as I won't be able to make it to Bett next week!
Kitkatninja Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 ...We will be showcasing our Practitioner and Advanced accredited courses, our new online Practitioner course which we are providing as a collaborative exercise with VITAL and The Open University and the new ICT Maturity Assessment service... Does this mean that we can get credit for the Open Univeristy if we have the Practitioner and Advanced certs? -Ken
GrumbleDook Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Does this mean that we can get credit for the Open Univeristy if we have the Practitioner and Advanced certs? -Ken Not yet ... and they still haven't responded back to my questions on it either (OU that is), so going to chat with the VITAL folk whilst at BETT to see what can be done.
GrumbleDook Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Any idea of the cost? The details will be part of the launch. As soon as it goes live you can be sure we will tell you.

featured_spectre Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 as it is wholly online, does this mean that we self study??
Barbara Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 as it is wholly online, does this mean that we self study?? Yes, two hours a week for eight weeks.
featured_spectre Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 if we finished the self study sooner, could we take the exam sooner?
plexer Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Mon 24 Jan 2011 - Fri 18 Mar 2011 Doesn't give people much time to get approval etc... I presume it will continue to run throught the year. It's not face to face but could still be lecturer led online or that type of scenario where you have to do the 2 hours at the same time as everyone else? Ben
Barbara Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 if we finished the self study sooner, could we take the exam sooner? This pilot course will take eight weeks to complete. The course does not include the exam which can be booked separately. Ben This course is a pilot and additional dates are likely to be arranged throughout the year. It is expected that everyone will study at the same pace with support through a forum.
