i also think 24h news has somethig to answer for here as things seem to go striaght to air so they can scoop other stations without as much fact ckecking as 20 years ago and retractions are never as obvious as leading stories repeated eery 5 mins

 

I would agree there but then secrets were much easier to keep back in those days where as today anything and everything is broadcasted. Just have to remember coppers are just like us, real normal people. They are not perfect, they didnt have perfect upbringing or backgrounds, only real difference is they wear uniforms and they are supposed to be the law which is ego boosting.
