Premier Elements Crashes on W7 Ultimate x64

I've just taken delivery of a nice offer I saw on Amazon. Photoshop Elements 9 and Premier Elements 9 for £60 :)

The problem is that it crashes when I try and start it. It gets to the editing interface, then crashes with the message 'Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 has stopped working'.

Anyone else had this or have a solution?

Chris I have seen more than a few messages both on here and elsewhere about Adobe products not working on W7 x64. Most of these have been Photoshop, but also a few Premiere. These all being ful products, but mostly failing as you mention on install.

Do they install on other OS (if you have one available)? I have photoshop CS5 working fine on my w7 x64.

Adobe licensing supports installation on two machines. The Adobe product license agreement allows the primary user to install the product on a primary computer. The primary user can also install the software on a home or laptop computer for personal use, if the two copies are not used simultaneously.

That's nice of them :)

Thanks to ZH. It turns out that as I had 2 graphic cards in my PC, an ATI and an Nvidia Quadro. If the Open GL version supported is differant on each card then PS will crash. I swapped out the Nvidia for an old 7300 and it now works like a charm.
