I've been told that a lot of educational ISP block https: sites.

 

Just wondering if we could have a straw poll of members to see if this is fact or fiction.

Fiction for us, I don't believe any ISP with a brain would outright block all https sites!

fiction here - although some websites don't like out upstream proxy's with login info constantly circling from login page to next page to login page.

Although, if you think a bit deeper and check context, is it block invalid certificated https sites? That would be more plausible but still a bit OTT
