What is the general size of your IT Department

my boss, me and 2 other techs 8-900 clients (of which around 80 laptops) between 25/30 servers varying between ubuntu and windows

1 Network Manager.

1 FT Network Tech (me).

500 workstations.

200 laptops.

8 Servers

Many data projectors & equipment

1300 Users.

230 Staff

 

We renovated 3 IT rooms, rebuilt 400 pc & laptops due to SP3 roll-out/Structure changes in 7 weeks! All I can say is... Thank you to the FOG Project!

2000+ users, 1200 laptops, 500 desktops, 2 campuses, 2 server rooms, 14 physical and 30+ virtual servers.

 

As of October theres 5 of us now.. Director of ICT, Sys Administrator (x2), a guy who looks after AV and printers etc, and a techo who does the ghosting, hardware repairs etc.

5 of us, 4 full time and 1 for 3 days a week term time only. Support 14 schools (all primary) with aprox 3500 total users and about 25 servers.

4 of us full time running 14 servers on 3 hosts + backup and DC Servers. 670 clients of which 390 are laptops, 60 printers and 41 IWB\projectors with approx 1200 users. (As well as cameras, visualisers and bits in between )

Are you a school or a support organisation? I've had a look at Your IP, so know where you are located and you've already posted another thread about proxies, and in both instances yiou have given no context but asked for lots of information from our members. Please let me know as soon as you can.

Two jobs:

 

Primary - four days a week, 3 servers 70 workstations, 9 classes. Two hours ICT Clubs, run web site and generally help in ICT Suite with classes when they are in. Suspect that under budgetary constraints this will be chopped though - ICT here currently being Benchmarked and found to be significantly higher cost than in comparable schools. Biggest fear that the school will go the what seems popular route of recent times - outsource to an every hungry and expanding IT Provider in the County. Leaves me wondering how safe my position will be.

 

Secondary (BSED). Circa 70 boys on role. Two servers (Curriculum and Admin) 110 and rising number of workstations. A day a week and trying to build a Joomla Web for them as well.
