MattDLEA Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Hi, Hope this is in the right section, it has become apparent that in thwe furture I may be incharge of some CC3 CC4 networks. I can't get to the documentation on hte RM site with me not been registered and not paying for this service yet. Just wondered if there is any books or documentation that I can be reading before been thrown in the deep end. Kind Regards
synaesthesia Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 There is little to nothing in the public domain unfortunately. It will be worth asking your employers if they can get you something as some form of "self training". It might even look good on your part as being proactive. Don't worry too much about CC3 - it's Windows AD with a GUI on top. There's a bit more to it, but like CC4 it's quite intuitive - the management console on each handles everything from software deployment, remote tasks, user and station management and security/registry settings. You will probably only get stuck on the more complicated bits that are RM specific - station rebuilds, packaging via RM Application Wizard, central management tasks and what-not. Could you perhaps get your employers to send you somewhere that has a CC network, such as another local school? 1
russdev Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Give me a pm with your location I am sure I can find you a school nearby who will host a visit. Russ
