3 to 1 optical audio switch

Im looking for some sort of switch box that will take 3 spdif / tos link inputs from different sources, let me switch between the 3 of them, so i can ouput into my surround amp.

 

Does such a thing exist?

Most of the digital audio switchers I have seen are part of the video switch.

 

I know you want at least 3 inputs but Gefen make a 2:1, generally a good brand.

They do indeed, I use this one at home (bought from this supplier on eBay): 3 Way Optical TOS Link Cable Splitter Digital Audio DVD on eBay (end time 06-Dec-10 21:15:22 GMT)

 

But be warned, you must use thick cabling, otherwise the signal will be too weak by the time it reaches the amp. I use these (from the same eBay Supplier): 1.5m HQ Optical TOS Cable TOSLink Lead Digital Audio on eBay (end time 09-Dec-10 14:01:10 GMT)

LOL yes I know, that is dumb, but the cables are cheap and it's the thickness of the fibre optic cable that is important here

Thanks.. Ive used kenable a lot back in the UK.. Managed to find a local seller of the switch LosOjos suggested, the other one looks great and it would be handy to have a remote, but was a bit too expensive.

 

Hopfully my existing cables will be OK, will let you know how it goes.

Have you got a reference for that? I always thought that the thinner stuff carried more data. The table here tends to support that idea, with the POF being what is used in HiFi.

I can't cite you a reference no, but I have used thinner cables, they didn't work, the thicker cables did, so go figure...
