External Shared Driver Help

i copied some old folders (hardly ever used) over to an external drive to free space and created a share for people to access it, the share however will not give me the security tab?!

 

so i cannot control who has certain levels of access to it, i tried turning the use simple network sharing setting off but its not in the options!? also i cannot check i have ownership of the folder because that option is also not there

 

Im stuck......

any ideas??

Sounds like the drive is formated to fat. You won't get NTFS permissions if it is.
