How to create MSI for free

Anyone know what software i can use to create MSI files for free, I then want to be able to deploy these msi's via GP

Ive used installrite in the past and it seems to work well. Just a word of warning, when creating the sanpshots, try to use a clean windows install.

I like using WIX to create MSI, its opensource and created by Microsoft.

 

WixEdit (opensource) and InStyler (free for non-commerical) are both good WIX package creators.
