Only domain admin can log into the new Windows Storage Server- desktop remains blank

I've just set up a Windows Storage Server, added it to the domain, and configured shares for domain users to access.

Users are able to access the shares with no problems, but the problem I have is that no user except the domain and local administrator can log into the server. It just hangs and the desktop is blank with no start button.

The reason i was trying to login with another user was because I was trying to set up Backup Exec on it and having authentication problems so wanted to see if the backupexec user could access the server. I then tried with other domain users but all have the same, no desktop when trying to log in.

Does anyone have any ideas for me?

Thanks for your replies.

theriver - local users are fine it is only the domain user.

ChrisH- I can 'see' explorer through task manager but it wont let me run it - no authority or permissions apparently!
