We have a problem with papercut. when we send stuff to the libury printer it should appear in the que and the student/staff can release their documents.

 

but now its just releasing them without login in to release.

 

any ideas

we tired rebooting the print server / printer / computer release station and still printing out jobs. but its queing some students job. but not all?

 

any ideas?

We have just implemented this at our college and I have just finshed setting up our first release station, so please give me a kick if I'm off course....:)

 

The first thing to check is:

 

Admin console -> Printers -> Your affected Printer -> Hold/Release Queue Settings : You should have Enable hold/release queue ticked and Release mode set to User Release

 

If this is on, The second thing could be:

 

Admin console -> Users -> An effected user -> Advanced Options : You should check there are no Override printer-level settings and a tick in the box that states: Don't hold user's jobs in release station queues (always print immediately).

 

To fix this:

 

Admin console -> Users -> Bulk User Actions -> Change Settings : Tick Change advanced user settings, Tick Override printer-level settings and leave the rest blank

its for more than 1 user. so i cant seem to understand why it stopped working. but i will look in to this and i will report back.

it has been ticked. so i cant undertstand it.

Did you ever get it sussed mate? I'm about to fork out for the full licence so I would appricate the heads up if it has gone a little strange :)
