Since upgrading our exchange server from 2007 to 2010 due to a failure on the old one we are having an issue that around 200 students do not have the global address book. The other 1300+ users have it without an issue.

Can anybody think of a good reason why 200 people are unable to access the address book? I've searched high and low but am offically stumped

Thanks in advance, Ed.

Just to add, I believe that its users which were set up during the exchange 2003 days as the issue is with all year 12 & 13 students.

Are you using Office Outlook 2010 for accessing e-mail? We found out that Outlook determines what address book it thinks you should use. There is a setting you can change to select a default address book but this would be a pain to do for every client.

Yes, I agree with the above - one thing that I would suggest to test is logging onto OWA for Exch 2010 as a student and seeing whether they have the GAL in there....
