ictech Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Hi, The on-board graphics card on one of our machines has died and I was wondering what replacement I should buy. We have a spare one in school but it doesn't fit the slot on the motherboard. Could anyone recommend a bog-standard replacement for a Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Edition P2510? Thanks
difinity Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 According to their site http://uk.ts.fujitsu.com/rl/servicesupport/techsupport/professionalpc/ESPRIMO/Datasheets/ds_esprimo_edition_p2x10.pdf you only have 2 PCI slots. Might be worth taking the side off and having a look inside.
3s-gtech Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Quite a few PCI cards available still, ranging from Geforce2 MX to 6200, and ATI 9200 etc. However, bear in mind that the onboard graphics are often provided by the Northbridge on the motherboard - you may have more symptoms than just dead IGP (from experience of a few Asus P4P800-VM machines here).
