BT Infinity

BT came in yesterday to put us on Fibre. It was a cock up and we had no internet all day but we are on now (Saturday). Somethng to do with their radius server not accepting new users.

 

I ran a speedtest with our old ADSL and was getting 3.5Mb/s and about .5 upload

 

Just ran it again and its getting 21.60 and 7.79 upload

 

Its the little things in life that make you smile.

 

Now just to try and keep the data below our agreed limit which may be an issue, wionder if I can throttle the traffic.

1000Gb - The most we have ever used is around 350Gb

The Engineer did stuff to the exchange then came into school and changed the BT box on the wall and fitted us a new Modem.

 

It went off as soon as I went home on Saturday, I think one of the staff went in and rebooted the modem again and it came back on but when I connected into school at about 5pm using RDP it went off again.

 

I came in this morning and rebooted and it started working again, I presume its to 'find its level' as there is nothing on BT to say why its flakey.

 

It is fast though. RDP was like being in school.
