Copying DVDs

Hi Guys

 

Rather than a PC based solution, I was wondering if anybody knew of a standalone piece of kit where you can stick DVD for copying in one tray - blank DVD in the other and then copy one to the other?

 

This push-button solution would require little/no training compared to DVD copying software as I'm wanting to famr this sort of job request out to the Resources people.

 

Any pointers, much appreciated.

You can get such systems but expect to pay a few thousand for one. You could howver probably knock a simple system using Linux and a script or even windows but dont ask me for details .

Sorry, you need to buy the drives aswell, but they're cheap as chips

duplicators rock, especially the ones that copy sectors, helps with the copy protection......

 

*but of course you only do this if you own the rights*

DVD duplicator kit. You have to build yourself but it's very simple. very cost effective too. Various options for speeds, number of duplicators.

Don't forget I noticed you need to buy the drives but it looks like they just slot in.

Bare in mind that with the one from SVP you still have to install the DVD drives. Which ever solution is best for you. I believe it only took my techie 10mins to build the kit from starmount.

Yeah noticed the extra drives, cheers.

 

I'll pay the £20 for SVP to make it - unfortunately I don't have a tech to delegate such fun jobs to. And as the money would only be used for more A4 paper in Resources (we've received 5 palettes worth in the last 3 days!!!), it'll probably save the Resource people a little room too.
