Im setting up machines on our network to get it to work with windows 7. Whenever you try and use outlook 2007 it always pops up with username and password box but it will re-appear 5 mins later and so on. Does anyone have any ideas how to stop it from doing this?

Thanks

hi Alex is this with exchange 2007?

there are many problems with this, the most common being the full DNS name cannt be resolved.

p.s. where are you in cov?

yes this is exchange 2007, did you have this problem? and have you found a resolution for it?

Also im located in balsall common Heart Of England School. Where abouts are you from?

yes we did , it was becuase the full servername exchange.curric.x.y.z was not resolved , DNS only resolved the exchange.curric part.

there is an option in control panel mail to change auth type between windows auth and kerboros i believe from memory, also to stop asking for passwords.

control panel > suers and userbility > mail ? i think

I was hoping to put together a Cov Techie meeting in the new year if are intersted>

This will be a configuration issue, either in outlook or with the server....The only problem I have with outlook is that it sometimes won't close properly and when I try to fire it back up it will be there in the task manager but not appear :( Could be due to that Xobni add-on im using though....
