We've just installed a new suite with widescreen monitors that you can rotate and some of the students find working in portrait rather than landscape really useful, so we've had to re-enable it for that lab. They do seem to behave themselves with it though, it seems they like the new kit so much they are showing it some respect, for now anyway :rolleyes:

Don't know if this will help anyone at all. In the zip attached is a msi and reg file, to run the msi you much have the .reg left with the msi. please test it if you use it as I am not much of a msi builder :p

please let me know if it is any use at all

thanks

Don't think the reg file is correct....

WinINSTALL Registry File Version 7.6

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Java Update\Policy\JavaFX]
"LastUpdateInvokedTime"="Tue, 08 Jun 2010 10:24:05 GMT"
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Direct3D\MostRecentApplication]
"Name"="javaw.exe"

Haven't looked at the msi but i assume it simply inserts that registry file into the registry?

ok take two, i have got to really learn how to do msi from scrach :doh:

msi can run on its own without the .reg file but i have lincluded it if it is of any use for startup scripts at all ?

@dmdixon - yeah it removes the hot key cmd from startup on the windows so they can't use the hotkeys i found that intels hotkey setting on their app does work but when the users logs out and another logs in it resets it :(
