Having a real problem with this software. It was a pig to install but a few months ago I got it going...

Then this week I upgraded the antivirus on the server and Rapid Writing went all wrong. The pupils cant get on it, they just get a black screen.

Permissions are unchanged - everyone has permission to do everything on all related folders.

There is software installed locally, a database on the server and an .xml file that points to the database.

I removed the database

I sorted out the exclusions on the server so that the file doesnt get scanned

On advice from Pearson, I disabled the antivirus on the server and on the client machine I was installing it from (necessary to do this via a mapped drive)

The program appears to install fine - no messages or anything - but the database folder is not where it should be, and nowhere else either.

Given that I have disabled the antivirus, even if this was the problem it shouldnt prevent the install should it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I have two discs - Stage 2 and Stage 3 and they both have the same result so I don't think it is the disc
