creese Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 (edited) Wow, I wonder if there is anyway I could get this to my S African school. I bought them some when I was there in February but this would keep them going for years. EDIT: Found it http://www.plethorapicks.com Edited November 4, 2010 by creese

Do they have a stack of credit cards on demand to punch out of then, because punching out of paper wouldn't work
creese Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Do they have a stack of credit cards on demand to punch out of then, because punching out of paper wouldn't work I'm sure they will find something, this is a place where kids make steerable model cars with suspension from some old wire and a pair of pliers. 1
Pyroman Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I'm sure they will find something, this is a place where kids make steerable model cars with suspension from some old wire and a pair of pliers. Well done, was just about to bust a blood vessel

Hightower Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I'm sure they will find something, this is a place where kids make steerable model cars with suspension from some old wire and a pair of pliers. Amazing....... yet they can't make their own plectrums and need a device to do it
Little-Miss Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Wow! i dont play guitar, i want one anyway!!
creese Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Amazing....... yet they can't make their own plectrums and need a device to do it They can, and they do, but sometimes it's nice to have nice things. Even if you live in a tin shack.

bossman Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 @creese: I like your sense of humour my friend, its always a sign of a happy person and though some people have absolutely nothing they too are happy it makes me feel good to be a part of the human race once again. Thank you for letting people into another less fortunate persons world.
plexer Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I also don't play guitar but really want to buy one of those, I'll be making picks out of all sorts It's a bit like having a labelling machine and labelling everything Ben

Thank you for letting people into another less fortunate persons world. Thank you. I've had my bad moments, but recently got over a pretty serious illness and I'm back to who I want to be. The people I know in SA are fantastic, they include, Africans (Zulu, Xhoso, Basotho and Zimbawian), Afrikaaners and Brits. No one there expects anything fom anyone, they get on with life and smile a hell of a lot. Education is a priviledge not a right and parents and children value it above posessions. I feel extremely lucky to have them as friends.
Domino Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Hmm, but will it make the 2mm picks I've been using recently :-p
creese Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I also don't play guitar but really want to buy one of those, I'll be making picks out of all sorts Ben I think you'll find the liquorice will gum up the cutter.
creese Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Has anyone ordered from this site and received the punch? I ordered one 3 weeks ago asking for it to be delivered to a school in S africa but so far no show. Not sure what to do, their reply was a bit disinterested, so i'm reluctant to give them any more money for another try.
Domino Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 I'd leave it a bit longer yet - I've had a few things coming from the states taking a while, I think their customs are being a bit overzealous so slowing everything down. And then there's the joy of the UK customs once it arrives....
