speckytecky Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I'm trying to set up some windows 7 PC's for use on our Server 2008 domain. Bit stumped trying to find where I access All User / Desktop settings? Currently all users are picking up things like the MS Office 2010 trial.
Hightower Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Linky First one should do you. I think you have to have 'show hidden files' enabled too 1
accura2000 Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 You need to show hudden files and show protected files. Then goto, C:\users\all users Problem you'll find is that its like a shortcut, you can paste items into the all users desktop link, but you cannot go into it to delete anything. I had found that deleting a file from your normal desktop will delete it from the all users desktop. Hope this helps. 1
speckytecky Posted November 4, 2010 Author Posted November 4, 2010 Thanks Hightower. Worked a treat. I'm intrigued as o how you created your excellent linky as well? Linky First one should do you. I think you have to have 'show hidden files' enabled too
Hightower Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Thanks Hightower. Worked a treat. I'm intrigued as o how you created your excellent linky as well? Excellent how? I don't follow? I just pasted it in as normal.
speckytecky Posted November 4, 2010 Author Posted November 4, 2010 Well I have never seen a link work like that before - when I pulled it up it actually walked me through your Google search. Learn something every day - even at my age Excellent how? I don't follow? I just pasted it in as normal.

Learn something every day - even at my age Ah right, yeah. I think LMGTFY was released with sarcasm in mind, but I tend to use it when getting results from Google.
speckytecky Posted November 4, 2010 Author Posted November 4, 2010 (edited) That's brill thanks again squire. Edited November 4, 2010 by speckytecky Multiple typos!
PeterBoy Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 You have to enable the hidden files and protected files to show options first. 1
