Network on a go slow...

Anything i can help troubleshoot it?

 

Going to go check the lights in the cab in a second.

 

If i ping curricsvr1 from my machine i get 25-50% packet loss

If i ping curricsvr3 from my machine i get the same....

If i ping the admin server its fine!! All on same domain.

 

When im remoting to my servers there is a delay. I was trying to create an image when i noticed there was a problem. I restarted curricsvr3 buts its still the same...

 

Help!

 

Any ideas?

I am having the same issue, only I am unable to ping to my router from a handful of machines, I tried swapping cables, changing ports on switches etc to no avail...getting frustrated now!

Argh! ok...now everyone has gone to assembly it seems hunky dory!!

 

Odd cus i find it highly unlikely they have logged off!

Do you have any loopbacks? Sounds like there could be one about.

Capture a couple of thousand packets of network traffic using Wireshark or something similar and see if you can spot any glaring problems, maybe?

 

It's the first thing i do when our network's on a go-slow.

This happened at the beginning of the year and it fixed itself before i could do any troubleshooting.

Check there isn't a speed mismatch on the switch ports, set to auto until you find the fault.

Means NOTHING to me lol!!

As unlikely as people seem to think it is, I always look for duplicate IP addresses. unplug the real server for a few seconds, ping it, see if anyone answers from the servers IP address.

 

Have you tried pinging from the good servers to the bad, and then vice versa? Might give some insight depending on the results.
