chrisredfield93 Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 someone has asked me to install an adobe suite for someone - no problem but now they asked to lock the tool bars or what ever so tehy can use the software as normal but it reloads all the settings it was before locked but no restrictions with the software but reverted back. I guess like microseoft office you add tool bars then when you close them it all back to what it was before. any tips be glad to hear btw the suite is CS3 and operating system is vista (stand-alone laptop)
chrisredfield93 Posted October 31, 2010 Author Posted October 31, 2010 anyone *bump* i guess there is a file which i could set to read only but the programs may argue lol the cs3 packages they are using is Flash, phtooshop and dreamweaver
Arthur Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Photoshop CS3 stores most of its settings in a file called Adobe Photoshop CS3 Prefs.psp. On Windows Vista & 7, this is located in %AppData%\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Adobe Photoshop CS3 Settings. I just tried setting this file to read-only on my computer and this does indeed prevent Photoshop from saving its settings - no complaints either (which is surprising). I don't use Flash or Dreamweaver so I'm not sure about those. 1
