Mapped drives + Win7 + OpenVPN AS

Hi all,

 

When a teacher uses the VPN (OpenVPN AS) to connect they can't use the mapped drives until they have removed the drives and re connected the drives. All drives that they should see at home use persistent settings from a kix script

 

Info:

Windows 2003 server

Drives mapped by script, some are persistent drives.

 

This does not cause an issue on xp.

 

I have created a script that deletes all the drives and reconnects them on the desktops but wanted to work out why simply re-creating the drives seems to make the connection work.

 

Any advice?
