Admiral208 Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 Hi everyone, I have been playing around with the css for our website. This seems to have worked well in Firefox, Chrome and Safari. IE is another story. Please look at the screen shots to see what I mean. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening. Screen1 is IE. Basically, I have set a fixed with with a background image and this doesn't happen in IE. It fills the page on both sides. Cheers James
jamiess Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 (edited) This is giving me the same problem in safari, firefox and chrome on the mac. I will have a look at this for you, i think it is just some tweaking to be done in the css. If you could let us have a look at your code that would really help, which is the style sheet you are using. Jamie Edited October 18, 2010 by jamiess
Admiral208 Posted October 19, 2010 Author Report Posted October 19, 2010 Jamie, Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention that the site is a Share point web site. I had a bit of a development yesterday... I found that if I load up the developer options in IE and turn off quirks mode, it applies most of the css. I'm really new to all this stuff and not entirely sure I'm doing it correctly. There also seems to be two style sheets being used. I have uploaded the one that I have made the changes to, and also the default page of the site. so you can see the code in that also. CheersCSS & default.zip
jamiess Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 This seems to be rendering fine in my version of ie, which is a little odd!
