Guide to Installing Sims

I was wondering if anyone could give me a quick guide on how to install Sims client on a workstation from scratch. It's coming on 3 years since I last did this and needless to say I can't remember much other than I think I had to edit a Sims.ini?

 

Looking in the setups folder it's installers galore

 

Tried asking Capita but they want money to even talk to me, the school I'm at today recently had it installed by them, which was great because we didn't have to do it but now that I need to change out a workstation it's become complicated and they've left nothing at all on site for reference.

iirc it's the setup called simsinst, change the drive on the first splash screen to your sims drive, pretty step by step after that

Cheers, thats got the client installed, but its fails to logon giving reason 0.

 

Any idea what that is?

Probably not seeing the sims drive, check that you have the correct drive mapped and that the connect.ini is pointing to the right drive

Brilliant thats sorted it thanks, the drive was ok, but I'd missed the 2008 in the connect.ini
