Is anyone else in mid-Warwickshire having problems with SKY BB? Nothing on their status page (surprise, surprise) and their telephone 'support' is next to uselesss / completely clueless. They are 'unaware of an issues but will investigate'.

There's a connection but webpages are malformed / failing to load.

This happened a couple of weeks ago for about half a day, with no explanation forthcoming as to what the problem was.

I had this problem about a week ago with SKY Broadband, lasted about a day or 2. But it sorted itself out before I phoned tech support, Peterborough area though.

Last night was a revelation - not having the internet was a major problem which I solved by using the wireless hotspot feature on my HTC Desire. It made me realise what an Internet junkie I am!

I had the malformed/not loading problem again last night and this morning - is anyone else with the delightful Sky BroadBand having problems with it today or is it just me?

SKY Broadband was absolute rubbish (kept dropping out) where I am in Suffolk and the telephone support worse than useless. Now back with BT for both Broadband and telephone and very happy thank you!

Might be because of the new download service they've just made live.

On the whole how is Sky BB? I'm currently doing it the very expensive, but best way of getting full TV through Sky and landline and internet through Cable. Sky TV being the best TV by far, and Virgin cable being the best internet.

Obviously this is probably costing me £35 a month more than it should, and with Sky's ondemand service launching I think now is the time to move. All props to Virgin, but when you've had SKY TV, Virgin is just pants.

My problem was that when I had Be* back in 2007/08 I was always having DNS problems connecting to websites, and I know my exchange is over capacity (how do I know, even my school is on it!).

So if anyone does use it after moving from cable is it good, and anyone in Birmingham how is it in the big smoke?

Tech_Guy I also found this out when BB went down a few weeks ago. I ended up using my iPhone tethering. If it happens again we have a spare 3G dongle at work from the eLearning Foundation (the only way to create student accounts and content filtering is with a dongle!) which I can run over and get. It's far too stressful to be without it!!
