RM win 7 slate = ipad ?

We had one as a trial. The trial length was a month but I returned it within a week. In it's un"RM'd" state, we connected it to the wireless and started playing but found that it kept freezing/stuttering for 30 seconds at a time. Woefully underpowered (has the same Atom CPU as the RM Mini's) and as we were playing with it, realised that what actual use was there for it? We initially thought the teacher could use it for SIMS and projecting, class room collaboration, but at £400 a pop, we couldn't trust the students to treat it with respect. Our HoD for ICT came to the same conclusion.

 

Even if it became cheaper and more powerful, I still think we'd rather put the money elsewhere!
