NOVA t4 data lock in use

This morning admin staff attempted to get into Nova T4 and it said "Data lock in use, click to reset password." Although it has now resolved its-self without me touching it can anyone tell me why this would happen/ what would cause it?

 

I dont use t4 personally, more 'fight the fire'.

Normally you can just go to file and click "Reset Locks" then it should all start working.

Two people editing things at the same time. Or if the system crashes out, whilst someone is using it, the data lock is not released.

The above fix usually rectifies.
