Importing MP4 (FlipCam Ultra HD) into Adobe Premiere CS3

Hi All,

 

We are trying import MP4 files created from FlipCam Ultra HD into Adobe Premiere Pro CS3

And of course, Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 does not support MP4 files natively. We have tried a various methods of getting to import (even Renaming the extention kinda works) but nothing that is easy for students to follow...

 

Does anyone else have a solution???

the only way i found to import flip videos without upgrading is to convert them to a different format like wmv or avi.

There's an export option in FlipShare that saves to WMV, probably the quickest way...

I used the free and open source program Mp4cam2avi to convert Flip video files to WMV - basic, but it worked. MP4Cam2AVI Easy Converter | Download MP4Cam2AVI Easy Converter software for free at SourceForge.net
