Moodle and BBC Education feed

Has anyone got the BBC Education Feed to display within Moodle? I'm using the link I found and it's coming up as Error.

 

I am using http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/newsonline_uk_edition/front_page/rss.xml.

I am using BBC News - Home.

 

Try this RSS feed for the Education News on the BBC website.

That error'd too. Works in the browser though which is odd.

that's odd. I've had it working on a Moodle Site.

I tried another RSS Feed and it didn't error so it's the BBC.

 

Try it on your Moodle site at present?

I am sure I read somewhere that if you are unable to show RSS feeds if you disable the global search it helps?...(not sure if that is helpful here?) BTW we use the Newsround RSS feed and have no issues.

Nope, not errors at all

its only 1.7+ I think. Mainly coz it was a trial for the school and they are using a different VLE now. I'll check my demo version in a bit for you.

No errors on our main feeds

I've just tried it on version 1.9.7 and it works with no problems

I am going to upgrade my demo site so it is running version 1.9.9. I'll let you know what happens

I've upgraded my local demo version to Moodle 1.9.9+ (Build: 20100915) and the BBC Education News feed works with no problems
