computer_expert Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 (edited) That has to be one of the worst landings I've seen. It just shows how well they design the landing gears though. Edited September 17, 2010 by computer_expert
K.C.Leblanc Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 It's not George Micheal trying to escape the country is it?
AngryTechnician Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 (edited) There's a saying amongst pilots for dismissing criticism of even the bumpiest landings. "Any landing you walk away from is a good one." Edited September 17, 2010 by AngryTechnician
localzuk Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 You can't say whether or not it was a bad landing, as you don't know what the conditions are like. ie. there could be a very strong crosswind at ground level which caused the plane to do that, and the pilots had to compensate for it.
FN-GM Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 There was a crosswind, so that kind of landing would be expected. It wouldn't call it a bad landing more of a good one. They recovered well from that.

FN-GM Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 (edited) Isn't that a defalated air sock at the end of the video? That is quiet far from the area where the aircraft got the crosswind. Although the video makes it look like its near but its further than you think. It could also be a JetBlast or air turbulence from a previous aircraft. At the point the aircraft started to sway the rudder ailerons are not moving so it could not have been any one of the the pilots doing this. Edited September 17, 2010 by FN-GM
actech Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 I reckon the pilot did well to recover if there was a crosswind, but I would hate to have been sitting in the plane at the time!
