FN-GM Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Hi, On our workstations with sims installed, it isnt listed in add and remove programs. We need to uninstal it to fix an issue. Does anyone have any idea on how to remove it please? Thanks
tommccann Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 just delete c:/program files/SIMS should sort it. everything clientwise is stored there
FN-GM Posted September 15, 2010 Author Posted September 15, 2010 Tried that but i need to do a full install i assume there is stuff in the registry to get rid of.
6Foot2 Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 I had the same issue a little while ago. See this thread: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/how-do-you-do/60843-script-delete-multiple-occurrences-given-text-registry.html I eventually found that this works very well: Link: Codeode » Registry Distiller (Free) I experimented on a station that I knew I could re-image if it went badly wrong but I found that it got rid of all of the SIMS dross [over 300 Registry entries] and lots more besides!
vikpaw Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 sims infrastructure should be in the add remove programs applet, if not, then it might depend on how you installed sims on the workstation.
matt40k Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Just remove sims.ini from the windir, and the sims folder within program files. You could uninstall .NET I guess.
