Backup Exec 12.5 moving tapes to Keep Data.....

We have an Admin Server running Symantec Backup Exec 12.5. The tapes have been going for about 2 years now and I see a message coming up on use reporting that the tape is nearing the end of it's useful life. What seems to be happening is those tapes are being moved from the In use area of the library to Keep Data Indefinately - Do not allow overwrite.

 

Is this something that automatically happens with 12.5?
