Ranger Alternative?

Dear All,

 

I currently use Ranger for Networks as the network management software but due to the decrease in quality of the products and also the fact that technical support never answer the phone I am trying to find an alternative.

 

The product needs to be able to monitor pen drives and restrict certain files being copied onto the system, as well as lock up the PC's in conjunction with policies, etc.

 

Please could anybody tell me a good alternative that could replace Ranger for Networks?

 

The servers are running server 2008, and we have approximately 400 client PC's.

 

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Winsuite does a similar thing but I would not use any third party software to do what can be done on any server using Group policies.

NetSupport Manager is proberbly the best, and you get NetSupport School thrown in for free as well!

Windows server can do all that for you through group policies. If you need remote monitoring any of the well known ones will do that, my preference being ABTutor.
