markesmith Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Hi, I wonder if anyone can explain the following. Our newly installed Server 2008 has a 25Gb partition system drive with only 1.5Gb free. The total size of all the files on the C: drive using Select all and properties is 14.7Gb; where's the other 9Gb gone? Any advice much appreciated.
srochford Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 pagefile.sys and hiberfil.sys? If you're not showing hidden/protected files then they won't be included in the size you're seeing. JDiskReport (JDiskReport) is one of many programs that will tell you where your disc space has gone. 1
markesmith Posted September 8, 2010 Author Posted September 8, 2010 Thanks very much for putting me on the right track. I've moved the page file over to E: and we've a healthy 5Gb free. That'll do for now. Cheers
