DNS Configuration

I was wondering if someone could provide so advise about my DNS Setup.

 

We've got two DNS servers (both DC's) both hosting our local DNS. Both servers network configuration is to use themselves as DNS servers.

 

In the DNS server settings DNS forwarders are configured. For LocalServer1 the forwarders are:

LocalServer2

ISPServer1

ISPServer2

 

and for LocalServer2:

LocalServer1

ISPServer1

ISPServer2

 

Is this correct? The reason I ask is should the first line (which I didn't set up) where each localServer looks at the other localserver first be there? Or should the forwarders JUST be my ISP servers?

On local server 1 :

DNS settings : NIC primary dns -> ip address of localserver 2 and secondary DNS : 127.0.0.1.......forwarders -> ISPserver 1 & 2 (do NOT select use root hints)

 

On local server 2 :

DNS settings : NIC primary dns -> ip address of localserver 1 and secondary DNS : 127.0.0.1.......forwarders -> ISPserver 1 & 2 (do NOT select use root hints)
