CyberNerd Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 A single ICT specialist will be retained in all BSF schools I feel the forum needs a non-educational jobs section
beeswax Posted January 11, 2007 Author Posted January 11, 2007 so it's a fight to the death then, unless you're the only ICT Specialist in the school of course.
Grommit Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 What shocks me is that the Document says that its Schools have a very High level of ICT.. way above the DfES guidelines... So why kill something thats good and working ?
GrumbleDook Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Having had a chat with Becta bods ... DfES / Becta guidelines, including those for the ICTMark, are the basis of where a school should be ... not the pinnacle. Admittedly for some schools that is a load of trite but "good and working" can always be improved. Yes, I do worry about those schools that will take a nose dive ... and I have requested examples from 3 BSF contract winners of how they intend to maintain high levels of ICT standards (delivery and use int eh curriculum) in schools that are already noted for high standards. An example of this would be Parrs Wood in Manchester ... who have worked with those going for BSF contracts to ensure a high standard.
beast_gts Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 just spotted an ad for this in today's paper Oh joy. I'm in Middlesbrough and this is the first I've seen of this.
