Advice: Any edugeekers carry bikes on your car...

Hi Guys..

 

I need your advice if you carry bikes on the back of your cars.

 

Basically i need to know if the attached images are legal or not? I will be carrying 3 full suspension bikes about 60 miles to dalby forest area for a week and i dont want to get pulled by the coppers.

 

I know i will need a number plate as you can definately not see the original plate but i dont have a tow bar of the electrics and i dont know what other options i have got.

 

Please help

If your lights and / or number plate is / are even partially obscured then you'll need a board with lights and your number plate on. I got stopped a couple of years back and now have roof mounted bike racks.

Halfords do a cheap light & number plate board that's easy to wire into your car electrics. Thule do a kit that includes like a shelf for around £160.

not legal in those photos you ll need a light board or roof bars etc
