NIC Issue

On my desktop the network connection shows as connected but I can access the outside world (or the router once it's stops) apart from what was already running (IRC).

 

I've tried:

differnt network cable (I know but I thought I should try anyway)

reinstalled os

static/dhcp ips

changed duplex/speed negitions

 

faulty nic?
