Converting DVDs to ISOs

What tools do you guys use? I'm looking to convert Office 07, Win 7, Server 08, among a number of other things. Been a while since I've done this.

I've used Imgburn aswell but found Ashampoo a bit more intuitive

Well, currently using the ImgBurn software. It creates the ISO and an MDS file. Do I need the MDS file?

It depends. It is just used to store additional information about the disc so it can be deleted.

 

However, if you use Daemon Tools, you will want to keep them. The MDS files are used by the program to determine the correct media type to use (among other things). For example, if you have an ISO image for a DVD which is less than 1GB in size, Daemon Tools won't switch into DVD mode when the disc is mounted unless it sees an MDS file with the same name as the ISO.
