SIMS UPGRADE from 7.128 to 7.132

Hi,

 

We are planning to upgrade from SIMS V7.128 to 7.132,

can I get any Release notes for the upgrade

AFAIK they're available on SupportNet under resource number 16948.

 

(Or so the email we got sent when we updated says, and I have a printed copy, which our finance officer gave me).

What I exactly meant was: Is there any documentation which gives

pre upgrade

upgrade and

post upgrade steps for upgrading from 7.128 to 7.132

Upgrade instructions are the same as always -

 

Make sure you have a backup of your database.

Make sure you have a few GB of space on the sims drive.

Run SOLUS and enter the username and password which you usually use for upgrading and select SIMS.net

Download and execute the upgrade.

 

There's nothing special about this update. I don't know if a Capita update document exists, but what else would you like to know?

All I was trying to know is whether there is a Capita Update Documentation, because I found it when I googled it, but could not find it in Capita Support.netUpdating The one I found says SIMS.net using SOLUS Summer Main Release 2010, and it says it is from Capita

Only documentation I have seen made available is the same old documentation that Capita release - ie. the instructions on how to use SOLUS on the SOLUS site (http://www.capita-cs.co.uk/SiteCollectionDocuments/SOLUS/SIMS%20SOLUS%202%20User%20Guide.pdf) and the release notes I listed earlier (which refer you to the solus site for upgrade instructions/information). The release notes include 'pre-upgrade' information.

Upgraded successfully to V7.132, Can I know whether I need to Import Report and report Defenitions after upgrade

Yes import the latest report definitions by logging into SIMS and going to

 

Reports | Import

 

Browse to the SIMS .net Directory (it should open by default) and pick the file called

 

PreDefined_Reports_v7132.RptDef

 

You only need to do this once on either a workstation or the Server.

Is there any thing else that I need to do after an upgrade other than importing reports

I read some where that we need to import the lookup data?

It said that Lookup data is used in Personnel, but can I know what's lookup data.
