Service Pack 2 Setup Error

Hi

this is my first post

 

Im trying to update an XP machine from SP1 to SP2 but i keep getting this error from the CD "Setup Could not verify the intergrity of the file Update.inf. Make sure the Cryptographic service is running on this computer". and this from Windows Update "Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly."

 

Iv checked these things and they are set the way they are suppose to be iv tryed sevral other things as well but it just keep coming up with the same errors.

 

The only thing i can think of to get it to work is to reinstall windows but that isnt an option i need to keep the conten of the hard drive.
