bewlay51 Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Can anybody please tell me how to stop the last user who had logged onto a Windows 7 PC displaying when CTRL/ALT/DEL is pressed. I have an OU called Students, and a GP applied. I have set the following as shown here..... Do not display last user name Windows setting (dontdisplaylastusername) Interactive logon: Do not display last user name item, select Properties, and then enable. But, I can still see the last user to had successfully logged onto the PC. Help Please.... John
pritchardavid Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 i believe (not 100% sure) That is a computer object, not a student object, so it needs to be applied to a computer OU, not a users OU 1
SYNACK Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 That looks right, have you done a gpupdate /force and rebooted the machine to make sure that it has applied. Also this is a per machine setting so you would need it in a GPO that applies to the machines in question for it to apply. Depending on your setup this may mean that you need to put it in whateve GPO is applied to the computer accounts in AD that you want this setting to apply to. 1
