Desktops - all users

Hi all,

 

A quick one. There are shortcuts in the default All Users profile which carry down to the main desktop on the teachers profile. We don't redirect the desktop - GPP's create shortcuts.

Anyway of making these not appear?

Can you just delete them? That's the simplest way to get rid.

 

There is also a group policy setting to not show icons from the all users profile on the desktop and start menu.

Hi Steve - thanks for your reply.

 

I have found the GPO setting literally 2 mins ago and it works a treat: User Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar, this policy is called “Remove common program groups from Start Menu”.
