Net send in Windows7 not work?

Hello, please how do i send message from my computer to the other computers on the same LAN with me using windows7? The Windows net send command seems not work. I do this on other OS. Any help are greatly appreciated.

You might want to check you services and see if 'messenger' is running? I have a feeling it’s disabled by default, I'm sure you could change that on all your computers with a GPO though.

I am pretty sure Netsend has been removed from Windows 7

The messenger service is not included in Windows Vista/7. It's replaced by the command 'msg', but the two are incompatible.

If you've moved on to Vista and go looking for the Net Send command, you aren't going to find it...

Net Send is not available on windows 7 so you need to use MSG

 

MSG only exists on business and ultimate versions

 

but you use a third party LAN messenger such as LanTalk or dMessage
