Sammy09 Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Hello, please how do i send message from my computer to the other computers on the same LAN with me using windows7? The Windows net send command seems not work. I do this on other OS. Any help are greatly appreciated.
R0M Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 You might want to check you services and see if 'messenger' is running? I have a feeling it’s disabled by default, I'm sure you could change that on all your computers with a GPO though.

powdarrmonkey Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 The messenger service is not included in Windows Vista/7. It's replaced by the command 'msg', but the two are incompatible.

kooterpoly Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Net Send is not available on windows 7 so you need to use MSG MSG only exists on business and ultimate versions but you use a third party LAN messenger such as LanTalk or dMessage
