edutech4schools Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 (edited) I have been looking on support net for the 2003 - 2008 SQL Migration Utility but just go round and round the same links. Can someone point me in the right direction please. Edited July 21, 2010 by edutech4schools
Hecate Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 If it's been released for you you download it through SOLUS and tick the infrastructure upgrade box. I had to request it specifically before it was released for us.
edutech4schools Posted July 21, 2010 Author Report Posted July 21, 2010 oh I wanted to run it in a vmware test setup first. can anyone send me the files.
vikpaw Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 You can test it first. It's just a .exe file. Download the package, and then when you run it, it expands an executable for you which you run to do both the SIMS and FMS migrations.
vikpaw Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 You need SIMSSQLInfrastructureSetup.exe version 1.0590 but it's 198MBish so even if we were allowed to share it, it would be too big really. When run, it will place a file called SIMS-FMS SQL2008.exe in your Setups folder by default. At least that's what the manual said, i'm working through it now.
