Where can I get a "vintage" mobile phone?

Hi All

 

I'm doing an assembly in September on mobile phones/e-safety. I'd like to show the kids what they used to look like! Any ideas where I can get one? Preferably one of the old suitcase style ones!

In my loft I believe I have a Panasonic carphone with a caddy type arrangement. The transceiver could be removed and put into a portable rig the size of a handbag. You are welcome to it but it's heavy, so delivery might be an issue. If I recall, it cost around £2500 when I got it!

Surely, all you'd have to do is look in a drawer at home? (That's a serious question!!!)

I have seriously had to pull myself away from that site. I saw their retro phone with new circuitry, modelled off one of the old Motorola Dynatac phones and I was sooo tenpted. I just wonder if I bought one and took it out with me on a Saturday night and I pull,, whether I could also get the lasses number. Lol.

 

Just wish I had £162 spare to buy one.
